Sell What You Know: Technical Knowledge for Sales (Part 4)
Join this in-depth seminar for sales professionals covering electrical knowledge you need to inform clients with confidence. Topics will include essential electrical testing and maintenance expertise needed to communicate the value of service to prospective clients. This session will cover testing and maintenance (T&M) of switchgear and other equipment used in plants, data centers, and large industrial applications, as well as breakers, transformers, motors, electrical buses, instrument transformers, and other vital components.
Including a basic overview of electrical apparatus, a deep dive into resistance testing methods, and how continual trending data ensures maximum uptime, this session also presents real-word data and case studies that demonstrate the benefits of testing from a cost savings perspective. Attendees will also learn how to effectively communicate recent updates to NFPA70B, The Standard for Electrical Equipment Maintenance, and how those updates can drive the sales of periodic electrical testing.
Succession Planning and Talent Management
As outlined in the 2024 Advisory Council presentation, ABM Franchising Group’s new succession planning and talent management program protects and grows the resources that create value for your customers and organizations: your people.
Don’t let the important topic of succession planning fall into the “I know I need it, but who has the time?” category and disrupt your business growth.
This course covers analysis of business needs and implementation of succession plans, with a focus on aligning with growth objectives. In conjunction with Linc Service Workforce Development for operations and technicians, as well as Sales Career Pathing, Linc Service contractors can build talent management plans that focus on culture building, leadership development, and change management.
The Growth Potential of Microgrids (Part 4)
As our world becomes increasingly electrified, demand for energy will increase. The resilience of the energy supply is now a constant topic of concern and conversation for large and small consumers of power. As every business faces the impacts of electrification, microgrids will support businesses adopting smart strategies for their energy future. This course will explore use-cases for microgrids, how electric utilities are responding with rates and mechanisms that incentivize power customers to take charge of their own energy production and use, and how TEGG contractors can capitalize on these changes by using microgrids to drive revenue growth.

Actual Results: Operations Technology in the Field
Led by operations experts from Linc Service contractors Total Comfort Solutions and Mazza Mechanical, alongside service vendor nClarity, this session reviews the results of operations technology implementations with maintenance customers.
Highlights of the case studies include:
• How transitioning to demand-based maintenance impacts GP
• Examples of real-time machine alerts driving intelligent dispatch
• How actual alerts saved contract labor and equipment costs
• Benefits of “permanently gauging up” packaged units
• How remote access for machine data and communicating decisions across teams improved outcomes
Boiler Tuning, Emission Reduction and Flame Safeguards (Part 2)
Presented by boiler industry veterans with WARE Boiler University, this course explores combustion tuning for burners with an emphasis on efficiency and controlling emissions, including carbon monoxide and NOx (nitric oxide and nitrogen dioxide). Instruction will be enriched with guided, hands-on opportunities to learn about the functionality of flame safeguard modules from Honeywell and Fireye's BurnerLogiX. Completing this course qualifies for Continuing Education Units (CEUs). There is no fee to participate.
Crack the Networking Code (Part 2)
Oh no! We crashed the Diamond Panel into our Speed Networking Sessions, and that transformed the traditional Q&A into an interactive codebreaking game!
It's up to you and Linc Service’s top sales talent to network your way through puzzles and clues, gather your wits and skills, and solve the riddle of sales success together!
Medium Voltage Power Cable Testing (Part 5)
Designed for frontline electrical technicians and specialists in electrical testing and maintenance who test, install, maintain, repair, or troubleshoot medium and high voltage power cables, this course delivers an overview and exploration of multiple methods of cable testing. The course covers applicable standards and a comprehensive study of the most prominent technologies and test methods used today.* Technicians will learn how to perform and analyze results of insulation resistance tests, DC hipot tests, and Type I withstand tests (DC, AC, and VLF), as well as diagnostic testing using Tan Delta and Partial Discharge techniques. Although all methods of cable testing will be explored, this course focuses on the current methods of Withstand, Tan Delta, and Partial Discharge testing using VLF and 60 Hz power frequency techniques for data collection to provide specific defect information and the overall condition of the cable.
After attending this course, students will know how to:
• Consider testing options and select the method best suited for their application
• Specify the equipment needed, perform tests, and collect data
• Analyze results to assess the health of the cables tested
*Note: While this course is on testing for medium voltage cables, most of the methods and technologies described are used on HV cable up to ~200 kV in rating.
