FAQ

Q:  What is the suggested attire for the event?

A:  Principals Wednesday Welcome Reception and Thursday Dinner Outing: Smart, casual attire. Men may wear button-down dress shirts, collared shirts, shorts, or casual trousers. Women may wear sundresses, slacks, skirts, or shorts.

Principals Educational Sessions:  Casual business attire. Men: golf shirts, slacks, and/or Bermuda shorts. Women: dresses, skirts, or slacks. You’ll want to bring a light jacket or sweater, as the meeting rooms are air-conditioned.

Principals Giving Back Activity, Beach Volleyball and Cornhole Tournament: Beach attire and don’t forget sunscreen!

Friday Dinner Reception and Saturday Optional Activities:  Smart, casual attire. Men may wear button-down dress shirts, collared shirts, shorts, or casual trousers. Women may wear sundresses, slacks, skirts, or shorts. You may want to bring a light jacket or sweater for the evening. Please review Saturday’s optional activity descriptions for additional recommendations and requirements.

Golf Attire:  Men should wear slacks or golf shorts of Bermuda length; shirts must have collars and sleeves. Women should wear slacks, mid-thigh-length shorts or skirts; they should not wear halter-tops or swimsuits. Golf shirts without collars are permitted for the ladies. All golfers must have proper footwear: smooth-soled athletic shoes, spikeless golf shoes or soft-spiked golf shoes. No cut-off shorts, jeans or t-shirts. 

Awards Banquet:  Men should wear a sport coat or suit. Ties are not required. Women should wear a dressy pantsuit, suit, skirt, or dress. 

Q:  What is the policy for registering for optional activities?

A:  Space is limited and minimum guarantees are required for all optional outings and programs. In the event a minimum guarantee is not achieved, the activity will be canceled. Activities are also subject to limited availability and are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. 

As part of the Diamond Award Winner and Employee of the Year Winner package, ABM Franchising Group will cover the cost of one optional activity for the winner and their spouse or guest. Additional guests and children are at the winner’s personal expense.

Saturday optional activities are for Diamond Award Winners, Employee of the Year Winners, and their spouse/guest. All-Star Incentive Winners may register for Saturday optional activities as availability permits and should request activity fee reimbursement from their company. 

Q:  What activities are being offered for children at the event?

A:  Kids and Young Adults are encouraged to attend all optional activities and evening receptions with the exception of the Awards Banquet & Celebration, which is for adults 18 and older. ABM Franchising Group is offering a complimentary Kids Program (5 – 11 years old) and Young Adult Program (12 years and older) during the banquet. You may register your children for the program on the event registration form. Please note: those that register and do not cancel 24 hours before or do not attend will be subject to a $40 no-show fee.

Children less than 5 years of age will be permitted to participate in the Kids’ Program activities as they are able; however, they must be assigned to a personal sitter secured and paid for by the parents.

Sign up for the “Tiki Time Day Camp” provided by the Marriott for kids between the ages of 5 and 10 here. Individual, in-room sitting service is available at the parents’ expense.

Q:  I’m invited to the All-Star Diamond Event. Can I participate in the Principals Meeting activities?

A:  The Principals Meeting activities are for Principals (Linc Service and TEGG franchise owners) only. Diamond Award Winners, Employee of the Year Winners, and Incentive Winners are invited to participate in the following activities: Friday Evening Dinner & Entertainment, All Star breakfasts on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, All Star optional activities on Saturday, Awards Banquet and Post Awards Celebration.

Q:  I’m a franchise owner attending the Principals Meeting. Can my spouse, guest or children participate in the All Star activities on Saturday?

A:  Spouses, guests or children may standby for availability for the All Star optional activities on Saturday. Please request to standby when you check-in at ABM Franchising Group’s registration desk onsite. If there is availability, the Principal will be charged the activity fee per participant as noted in the activity description.

Q:  What is included in the awards package for Diamond Award Winners and Employee of the Year Winners?

A:  Diamond Award Winners and Employee of the Year Winners who register for and attend the event receive an Awards Package that includes: Standard Resort Room hotel accommodations for two for Friday, May 3 check-in and Monday, May 6 departure; a $250.00 USD honorarium gift card and a $150.00 USD for ground transportation between the Southwest Florida International Airport and the JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort; complimentary attendance for two to the Friday Night Dinner and Entertainment; invitation for two (must be 18 years or older) to the Awards Banquet; choice of one of the Saturday optional activities for two; and breakfast Saturday, Sunday and Monday for two.

Additional guests’ attendance including children are at the winner’s personal expense.

All-Star Incentive Winners (General Managers, Sales Managers, Service/Operations Managers, etc.) invited to attend the event must provide a credit card to cover all of their expenses at the event and should request reimbursement through their company.

The All-Star Incentive Winner and their spouse or one guest (18 years or older) is invited to the Awards Banquet and the Principal will be billed for their dinner and beverages at the fee of $150 USD per attendee.
